Nevadans: Help Stop Anti-Wild Horse Legislation in NV! Please share this urgent alert with friends and family who live in Nevada.  Every Nevadan who loves wild horses and burros should take 3 immediate actions to STOP an anti-wild horse bill currently in the Nevada State Legislature: 1. Please send a quick email to the Senate Natural Resources committee — SenNR@sen.state.nv.us *Draft Message (please personalize):  The majority of Nevadans love our wild horses and burros and oppose SJR3. This bill is being pushed by the livestock industry to remove wild horses and burros to benefit livestock. Everyone knows the Bureau of Land Management’s “Appropriate” Management Levels (AML) are not “appropriate” because they are rigged against the wild horses and burros to benefit livestock. If you care about the health of the range: Get the Cows Off.  If you care about water: Get the Cows Off. If you care about the environment: Get the Cows Off. Please stand with the majority of Nevadans — vote NO on SJR3. 2. Participate in the Nevada Legislature online opinion poll by clicking here(selecting SJR3) — urge a NO vote for SJR3.  Tell them why (see above) 3. Sign-up now to call-in & give public comments during the Tuesday, March 23 @ 3:30pm Natural Resource committee hearing. https://www.leg.state.nv.us/App/NELIS/REL/81st2021/Committee/349/Meetings Currently, only an anti-wild horse group is presenting to this committee. Senators Goicoechea & Hansen (who have an anti-wild horse history) are on the Natural Resources Committee. Advocates previously fought a number of Goicoechea-pushed anti-wild horse bills — and effectively killed those bills by rallying locals to attend the hearings and give public comments. We need to do this again!
